Danny is a WSET and WSQ Registered Educator with a passion for wine education and a strong grounding in both classic and emerging wine regions. He serves as Vice President of the INSEAD Alumni Wine Club and is a proud member of the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin, reflecting his deep appreciation for Burgundy.

He holds the WSET Diploma, BIVB Bourgogne Level 1 Certificate and the WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP 2.0), equipping him with the skills to deliver engaging, learner-centered wine education. His teaching style is approachable yet rigorous, combining History, Geography, Science and prevailing trends with real-world tasting insight to support learners at every stage of their wine journey.

In addition to his wine credentials, Danny brings a cross-disciplinary perspective from the world of craft beer, where he is President of the Craft Brew Asia Society and a judge for the Annual Regional Asia Beer Championships.

Danny holds Executive MBAs from both INSEAD and Tsinghua University and also brings over 20 years of experience in the financial services and technology sectors, having worked as a Consultant and Business Development Director. During this time, he hosted numerous wine events for C-suite clients and curated wine dinners as part of his work—advancing mutual interests and building meaningful connections over wine.

This unique blend of wine passion, corporate background and business academia allows him to bring a valuable business lens to his wine classes (from practical wine skills to interesting case studies like the Blue Ocean Strategy success of Yellow Tail wines), blending strategic thinking with wine education to offer students a fun and richer learning experience.
